Greenville’s Kent Ambler is one of South Carolina’s most prolific and successful woodcut artists. Ambler’s surroundings provide his subjects, whether they are birds, dogs and goats; trees, mountains and neighborhoods; or ice cream, beer and bananas. The exhibition will present woodcut prints, woodcut-collage house sculptures and a shed-sized house structure built from ‘retired’ carved wood blocks.
The Artist’s Talk in the Gallery starts at 6:30 and the opening reception for his works is from 7-8:30.
