A picture is worth a thousand words but can also spark a thousand questions. Join us at this Lunch & Learn session as we explore some of the historic daguerreotype photographs in Historic Columbia’s collection. Attendees will learn how these photographs were made, that information we know about the individuals in them, and the questions we ask ourselves as we research these images.
With over 6,000 artifacts in our collection, the Lunch & Learn series presents the opportunity to see artifacts that are not usually on display in 30-minute sessions. Participants may order lunch through Historic Columbia when they make reservations online or over the phone. Please contact reservations@historiccolumbia.org for specific details on food provided if ordering lunch through Historic Columbia. Participants may also bring their lunch from home or a local restaurant, such as Spotted Salamander next to the Seibels House.
