The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is one of the most iconic and distinguished novels in American history. Set during a New York summer in the midst of the 1920s, the story follows the lavish lifestyles of Nick Carraway and his mysterious neighbor Jay Gatsby. Gatsby takes Carraway under his wing and welcomes him to the world of extravagant parties, all thrown to win back his married love, Daisy. The drama of the American Dream is enamored with the glitz and decadence of the wild parties, the beautiful flapper dresses, and the handsome men in suits. The characters quickly realize that this reckless and careless lifestyle ultimately creates chaos and tragedy.
