UofSC Wind Ensemble Concert: Evolution

Presented by USC School of Music at Koger Center for the Arts

Join the UofSC Wind Ensemble as they trace the evolution of band music from traditional transcriptions and classic works, to new and highly accessible works by two young, emerging composers. Guest composer Omar Thomas will be in residence for the Wind Ensemble’s performance of his recent composition Come Sunday, a tribute to the Hammond Organ’s central role in black worship services. Cormac Cannon, conductor, Christian M. Noon, guest conductor, Omar Thomas, guest composer.
