About the artists:
Jeremy Butler was born in Liverpool, England. As a youth, he played tennis on the satellite circuits in Europe and North America. However, realizing fairly quickly that he wasn’t good enough to play tennis professionally, he turned his attention to business, and carved out a career on Wall Street as a stock analyst. During this time, inspired by his Father, who was a portrait sculptor, he worked diligently at becoming a sculptor in his own right. Thirty years later, he moved from New York to Columbia, where he continues to work as a stock analyst as well as a sculptor.

Keith Tolen is a life-long resident of South Carolina. He grew up in Batesburg, South Carolina, where he lived and attended school. He attended South Carolina State College in 1975 and graduated with a BS in Art Education. Ten years later he started working as an art teacher at Camden Middle School. He taught there for thirty years, retiring in 2017. He is currently working with a variety of groups committed to sharing art with people throughout the community.
