Acting Classes for Children & Adults Taught By Star Actor

Acting classes will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the South Carolina Film Institute. Children’s classes are 12pm-4pm and adult classes are from 4pm-8pm.

The classes will be taught by Javon Johnson who is a professional actor, director, screenwriter, and playwright who is dedicated to sharing his expertise with aspiring and established artists.  Javon has taught acting and stage combat at the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his M.F.A.  He’s also a member of SAG, AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Actors Equity Association, and The Dramatist Guild.  Javon Johnson has appeared in movies and television shows including Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, Dogma, Prison Break, The Poker House, The Watsons Go to Birmingham, and Survivor’s Remorse.

Whether you’re a professional or inexperienced actor, Javon Johnson will work with you to enhance your creative intellect and strategically develop the mental endurance needed to maintain discipline in pursuing your acting goals! His workshops cover set etiquette, scene study, character development, auditioning, script analysis, cold reads, and industry standards.
