Join the South Carolina State Museum at Quadrivium, an evening to celebrate the convergence of science and music from 7 – 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. The event will feature a special live music performance choreographed to celestial images projected on the planetarium dome. The performance will include music by one of the Southeast’s finest choirs, the Trinity Cathedral Chamber Singers, and an organ improvisation by the State Museum’s observatory manager and resident musician Matthew Whitehouse. In addition, the South Carolina Philharmonic will perform throughout the evening and there will be showings of A Trip to the Moon, a short silent film that follows a group of astronomers who travel to the Moon. Hors d’oeuvres and alcoholic beverages will be available. Tickets are $50 for the public and $40 for museum members. Visit scmuseum.org to purchase tickets.
