Registration for the 2019 Columbia Open Studios, presented by 701 Center for Contemporary Art, is now open to artists.
From now to January 7, 2019, the 701 Center for Contemporary Art encourages all Visual artists with a working studio in the City of Columbia and Richland and Lexington Counties to register for the 9th annual Columbia Open Studios. This non-juried event is happening on Saturday, April 6, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 7, 2019, 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
The first 30 2-D and first 5 3-D artists to register & pay the registration fee may opt-in for the Open Studios Exhibition at the Columbia City Hall from mid-January and run through the end of March.
All COS artists may participate in the Hallway Exhibition at 701 Whaley from March 25 to April 7, 2019.
The 701 CCA will produce the Columbia Open Studios guide maps for the public to tour artists’ studios throughout Columbia, Richland, and Lexington counties.
The registration fee is $50 for 701 CCA members and $100 for non-members, with a $25 deposit, due at the time of registration. Non-member registrations will receive an automatic one-year “Family Membership.”
