It’s not intergalactic, but it’s definitely planetary.
SCE&G sponsors the S.C. Phil’s first multimedia Masterworks concert as Music Director Morihiko Nakahara presents the famed, eponymous Gustav Holst classic. Two large screens flanking the stage will show high-quality planetary images, timed with the score, putting the concert experience through the stratosphere. See antique telescopes from the S.C. State Museum in the lobby and, weather permitting, observe planets and stars with a striking, high-powered telescope outside the Koger Center.
PLUS:
John Williams: music from Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Ravel: La valse
Music for a Cause partner: Palmetto Health Children's Hospital
