Join others in a fun course designed to help you learn the basics of pottery.
Introduction to Pottery is a class designed to provide students the basics of pottery from working to clay to the tools and their functions. Throughout this 6 week course students will learn various techniques including working with pinch pots, coils, slabs and slump and hump molds. The class culminates with a demonstration of throwing on the wheel. Students will complete a minimum of 4 projects during this class. Class limited to minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 students. Class meets on Mondays 6 – 8 pm. Registration fee of $90 covers all supplies except a basic pottery tool kit, which may be purchased for $10. Register early to get your space secured. Instruction is by alternating instructors – Valerie Lamott, Sylvia Potts, and Melissa Herring.
