Come enjoy an evening of English song and instrumental music of the Baroque era.
Brittnee Siemon, mezzo-soprano, is our featured soloist in selections from the rapturous English song repertoires of Purcell, Handel and Campion. Hazel Ketchum, guest artist, joins Brittnee on lute, guitars and vocal duets. The instrumental music includes a Handel Trio Sonata, two chaconnes, plus Purcell’s charming music for the theatre.
Performers for the evening are Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Hazel Ketchum, lute and soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Mary Hostetler Hoyt, Baroque violin; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry, harpsichord.
“Concert Conversations” with Sarah F. Williams begin at 7 p.m. followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m.
Please join in welcoming and visiting with the performers at the reception after the concert.
Tickets may be purchased on our website for $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and are free to any student with a school ID.
