Come learn this distinctive style of painting while also learning about the culture where it originated. Madhubani painting is an art style from India that originally used fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens and matchsticks to create intricate designs. It is created by using natural dyes and pigments and is characterized by eye-catching color and geometrical patterns. Generally no space is left empty; the gaps are filled by paintings of flowers, animals, birds, and even geometric designs. Fee of $35 includes all instruction, supplies, materials and operating costs. Class size limited to minimum of 4 and maximum of 10. Registration Deadline January 3, 2019.
