Among Strangers: Cuba and Saluda in Conversation

Presented by Indie Grits Labs at Unknown

Among Strangers: Cuba and Saluda in Conversation is an exploration of what it means to be a stranger. Yulian Martinez-Escobar and Lillian Burke will exhibit a series of collages and photographs that document their connections and conversations throughout their travels in Cuba and Saluda, SC.

Yulian Martinez-Escobar and Lillian Burke are two of the seven fellows participating in the Rural Project— Indie Grits Labs’ year around art project for 2018-19, which focuses on the issues facing small town and rural communities of the Southeast in the 21st century. Among Strangers is one of the many upcoming exhibitions and events that will take place throughout the year as part of this initiative.

Among Strangers: Cuba and Saluda in Conversation will be up from November 08, 2018 to December 21, 2018. Head here to learn more about the opening: http://indiegrits.org/among-strangers-opening-reception
