Midlands Festival of the Arts

Presented by Columbia City Ballet at Icehouse Amphitheater

Columbia City Ballet announces the first annual Midlands Festival of the Arts to be presented at the Ice House Amphitheater in Lexington on Saturday, November 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Presented by Columbia City Ballet with funding from Central Carolina Community Foundation’s Connected Communities Grant, Midlands Festival of the Arts is a one-day, free event showcasing the richness of the arts in the Midlands of South Carolina. Thanks to sponsorship from BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Lexington Medical Center, this inclusive arts and culture event provides an opportunity for a large variety of arts groups and other non-profit organizations to display their works to the public. The amphitheater stage will be hosting multiple performances throughout the day by performing arts groups and organizations including Columbia City Ballet, Columbia Children’s Theatre, Cola Jazz, Marionette Theater, Trustus Theater, the Shakespeare Theater and many others.

In addition to performing arts, exhibits by a wide variety of visual artists, craftsmen and vendors will be featured. The Columbia Museum of Art, the Calhoun County Library and many other organizations will present special activities and engagement opportunities for children, such as magic shows, an obstacle course, puppet performances and face painting – this festival is fun for the entire family!
