Collectively Supported Art (CSA) – A unique way for people to support artists.

1 original, signed work
45 shareholders
$42 per share
1 Unique Experience

Collectively Supported Art — is a spin on “Community Supported Agriculture” providing art lovers a share of fresh, handcrafted artwork. CSA is a distinctive opportunity to connect with innovative visual art and the talented artists behind the one-of-a-kind original artwork. Each shareholder will take home a 8” x 12” piece of the artist’s creation. The evening will include light fare, beverages, and time with the artist as they create.

But wait, there’s more! Want to purchase more than one share? Yes please! You may purchase up to four shares per person. The first 25 shares sold will get to pick their pieces the night of the event in the order the shares were purchased. The remaining shareholders will be able to choose their pieces through a random drawing, that evening. All picking will be done prior to the artist finishing the complete work of art.

Amanda Ladymon is owner of Ladybug Art Studios, a home-based creative center for art & education, working with local non-profits and the community. Amanda has been an artist and art educator for 15 years, working with all ages and walks of life within the Columbia community. She was the recipient of the Artist Ventures Initiative Grant in 2013 from the SC Arts Commission, which is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. After teaching at numerous local colleges as an adjunct professor for seven years, she is now an art teacher at a Lakewood High School in Sumter. She received her MFA in Sculpture from the University of South Carolina in 2009. She has a wonderful supportive husband, Eric, and two amazing daughters, Lily and Mia.
Amanda’s most recent work connects with biological imagery, local history/culture, womanhood and identity, and the concept of motherhood. Her mixed media works involve a circular dialogue, with one part affecting another, creating an endless flow of biomorphic, organic forms and evolving experimentation with materials. Balancing a tension through visual relationships of form and color, her mixed media pieces are the product of a naturally intuitive, self – organizing principle. Using found objects along with drawing and painting methods, Amanda’s work addresses the importance of upcycling while also addressing the symbolism of home and historical ties to her past and present.
