The University of South Carolina’s Chamber Orchestra, led by esteemed director, Donald Portnoy, presents a December 2 concert at the W. W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall in the new Darla Moore School of Business. The appealing new 500-seat hall allows the audience to have an intimate connection to the stage, maintaining an excellent view and sound for every seat in the house.
The USC Chamber Orchestra is made up of 22 select players from the full university orchestra, one of the top university orchestras in the region. The concert features music by Antonio Vivaldi, Benjamin Britten and Ernest Bloch, for a varied program of chamber music. The free concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2 in the Johnson Performance Hall, Moore School of Business, Level 1 (1014 Greene St.).
