Join us for the Columbia Choral Society's fall concert, "In medio temporum", at 4 pm. on Sunday, November 23.  Concert will be performed at Christ Chapel, Luttheran Theological Southern Seminary, 4201 N. Main Street, Columbia 29203. The principal works for this concert, which falls in between the seasons of fall and winter, are Eleanor Daley's Requiem, a beautiful, unaccompanied setting of traditional Requiem text combined with modern English language poetry; Gerald Finzi's Magnificat, an English language setting of the Canticle of Mary with brilliant organ accompaniment; and Francis Poulenc's Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël. Gustav Holst's combination of several Christmas carols in Christmas Day and Malcolm Williamson's setting of Mary Wilson's Vietnam War era poem, This Christmas Night, serve as a fitting end to our Fall Concert.
