The role of gardens and gardening in southern life will be the subject of a talk organized by Columbia Green with USC’s McKissick Museum. A talk by South Carolina garden designer, teacher and author Jenks Farmer will be the highlight of a evening looking at the place gardening lore and plants have had in our history as well as examples of how present day gardening has influenced local life. This event will be on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2014 at the Columbia Museum of Art on Main Street, Columbia SC. Mr. Farmer’s presentation will be at 8:00, following light refreshments beginning at 7:00. Seating is limited.
