Ron has an MFA (Columbia University) and studied theater, art and photography at the RISD, UNC and American University. Ron has had careers in television (PBS and Lifetime) and as an Army officer in Vietnam. He has taught arts practice at Royal Holloway – University of London, RISD and privately in Columbia, SC. His courses include screenwriting, filmmaking, acting and media art. Ron makes films and art with installations featuring paintings, projections, prints and film centered on portraiture and topics related to Diasporas and family narratives. Since completion of his RISD post-graduate certificate in digital photography, Ron has been applying the medium to several recent photographic works but also continues to paint and make short art films. Including the 2017 film “Rising” and various works featured in the ArtFields Exhibition since 2016.
