I have worked as a muralist for eight years and have painted them in residential and professional settings. I have done freelance illustration for many different projects including four books for children. I have also completed commissioned art assignments for a wide range of topics. The following is a list of professional experience titles: Flowe On The Gogh Owner/ Artist – 01/Jan/2008 – Present I arrange client meetings, then meet with clients for a consultation about their art project. We discuss their needs, ideas, and budget. After collaborating with the client, I present them with designs for approval. I then arrive to paint murals, deliver artwork, etc. I generate and present invoices upon completion of jobs. Sarah Scribbles Freelance Artist – 01/Jan/2005 – 01/Jan/2008 I completed a variety of freelance work such as murals, portraits, and illustrations. I also did some artist guilds and art competitions. During that time, I won 2nd place in Charleston Artist Guild’s Annual Signature juried art show. Island Designs- Hand-painted ornament company Art Director – 01/May/2000 – 01/Aug/2004 I worked with the owner to design and paint the first of each ornament in their line. Once I designed and painted a finished product, I moved on to other designs. These ornaments were extremely popular and were sold in airports, retail shops, as well as in the Charleston Aquarium. SKILLS • I work quickly while keeping my high standard of quality. For example, my last project was scheduled to take three months, but I finished in two and surpassed the client’s expectations. • I am very flexible and have the ability to think on my feet. Recently, in the middle of a project, the client wanted to change a portion of his idea for the design. I was happy to work with the client and accommodate his request. • I have many years of experience working in the Fine Arts field. I bring a seasoned and focused creativity to any project I do. • I am very experienced in the following areas of art and mediums: Acrylic Painting, 2D Design, Murals, Watercolor, Printmaking, Sketching, Drawing, Pen and Ink, and Illustration.
