Columbia Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show

Hosted by the Columbia Gem and Mineral Society, this annual show features 30+ dealers selling gemstones, jewelry, mineral specimens, fossils and beads. There will be demonstrations of lapidary arts such as mineral faceting and jewelry making, showcases displaying members\' collections of minerals and fossils and the South Carolina State Stone (blue granite) and State Mineral (amethyst), geodes sold and cut, and a salted mine for children. A new feature this year is panning for gold. The show is open Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Door prizes are awarded hourly. There is something for people of all ages. Admission is $7 ($1 off with coupon); children 12 and under are free with adult; military and dependents free with military ID.
