Vladimir Putin and the Future of Europe: The New Hybrid War

The University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, in collaboration with The Walker Institute and The Rule of Law Collaborative, will host a talk, Vladimir Putin and the Future of Europe: The New Hybrid War, featuring political scholar Mitchell Orenstein on Oct. 28. The event is free and open to UofSC students, staff, faculty and the general public.

Orenstein is professor and chair of Russian and East European Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. One of the foremost scholars on the European Union and post-communist countries, Orenstein has written numerous books and journals regarding the comparative political economy and international relations. Orenstein will discuss his 2019 book, “The Lands In Between: Russia vs. the West and the New Politics of Hybrid War,” during his visit.
