UofSC hosts MUSC dean for annual Caskey Lecture Feb. 15

Dr. Raymond N. DuBois, dean of the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, will speak at 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at the campus room in the Capstone Conference Center at the University of South Carolina.

DuBois is an internationally renowned expert for his studies on the molecular and genetic basis for colorectal cancer. He will discuss his findings on the benefits of “anti-inflammatory” drugs for patients with genetic risks for colorectal cancer.

DuBois is the speaker at the university’s Caskey Lecture, which was started in 2004 by alumnus Dr. C. Thomas Caskey and is one of the College of Arts and Sciences’ premier lectureships. Its focus is the impact of 21st century advances in biotechnology and medicine. The lecture is free and open to the public.
