University Chorus Concert

The concert will feature the Columbia premiere of Dan Forrest's "Requiem for the Living," written in 2013. In this performance for choir, soloists, and chamber orchestra, USC faculty and graduate students join the University Chorus. Forrest's piece includes the traditional Requiem texts from the Latin liturgy, as well as additional scripture texts sung in Latin. Performing with the chorus is USC School of Music faculty Janet Hopkins, mezzo-soprano, Rebecca Hunter, violin, Jennifer Parker-Harley, flute, and Rebecca Nagel, oboe.
