Tribe: A Celebration of South Carolina Hip-Hop Exhibition

The mixed-media exhibition will be on view at the Columbia Museum of Art from February 6 through April 12, 2020, and will feature visual art, audio and visual elements, as well as artifacts from South Carolina hip-hop history.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, February 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM with a reception at the Columbia Museum of Art as part of the museum’s First Thursday programming. The reception is free and open to the public, and will include an overview of the exhibition, as well as special guests..

Curated by Love, Peace & Hip-Hop founder and hip-hop artist FatRat Da Czar, the exhibition will both celebrate the core elements of hip-hop culture and highlight the contributions of South Carolina to the hip-hop music genre worldwide.
