Symposium: Art, Anatomy and Medicine since 1700

This two-day symposium brings together a dozen scholars from Europe and North America to discuss the shared roles of artistic training and anatomical understanding in the advancement of medicine and art, since the eighteenth century. It will be held at the Columbia Museum of Art and is generously funded by a Provost’s Humanities Grant, and sponsored by the School of Visual Art and Design.
