Seen and Heard: Women and Girls in the Midlands Inaugural Exhibit

WREN will open Seen and Heard, a free exhibition at Tapp’s Art Center (1644 Main St.), featuring photography and portraiture by a diverse group of women, gender minorities, and girls from across the Midlands region on February 1-22, 2018.

This dynamic exhibit is the premier event in a series of eight unique gallery openings across our region featuring 80 pieces from 40 new, local artists. Through Seen and Heard, photography has been used as a means of expressing the opportunities and barriers experienced within our community.

Exhibit artists were recruited by organizers: Sowing Seeds into the Midlands, Every Black Girl, PASOS, Homeless No More, Girls Rock Columbia, The Hive Community Circle, WREN, and Indie Grits Lab and range
