Richard Burnside: Who is King?

Featuring the work of Pendleton-based painter Richard Burnside, the exhibition will be the artist’s first museum retrospective, presenting the full scope of his artwork from his earliest works on paper in the 1980s to his most recent paintings.  Richard Burnside: Who is King? incorporates over fifty paintings, drawings, mixed media artworks, and interviews conducted with the artist, his friends, and others who collect his work.  The exhibition explore’s Burnside’s stylistic development, the relationship between the artist and his community, as well as the significance of the kings and queens that populate his most celebrated work.
