Join us for a fun time creating egg works of art.
Pysanky are objects of traditional folk art, the painted eggs. They are created by a method that is similar to batik. Patterns are drawn on the egg with hot beeswax, which then protects the covered areas from the dye that is applied afterwards. This process is repeated until a pattern is built up. Finally the wax is removed to reveal the colors that were sequentially covered up at each stage. Registration fee of $60 includes instruction and operating costs.
