Plarn Crocheting - One Day Workshop

Learn how to crochet “plarn” (plastic yarn) to create portable sleeping mats for the homeless as part of Operation Bedroll. Materials will be provided. Students will need to bring a size “Q” crochet hook. This is part of a collaborative effort to provide portable sleeping mats to the almost 200 chronically homeless in the Midlands are. Come and enjoy learning while doing something worthwhile to give back to the community Workshop is limited to minimum of 3 and maximum of 15. It will be held on Wednesday September 19 from 6 – 8 pm at Columbia Art Center, 1227 Taylor St., Columbia, SC There is no charge to participate but registration is required.  Instruction by Bohumila Augustinova and Brenda Oliver.
