Neutral Territory: Meditations with Watercolor and a Neutral Palette

When we think of watercolor, we often think of cheerful, bright pure color. But another world awaits as we venture into neutral territory. Are you afraid of mud when mixing color to get neutrals? Using limited palette, we will mix crazy rich neutrals: vivacious greens, gorgeous golds, moody blues, bodacious browns, and more.

Join instructor Kathryn Van Aernum for a meditation with watercolor at City Art and paint among the galleries. Working in a contemplative atmosphere we will discover the amazing range of color that can be achieved through the neutral palette. Students will create a simple book structure to contain their playful explorations.
