Midlands Clay Arts Society “Meet the Locals” Summer Sale

Join us for our inaugural summer clay festival! Our “Meet the Locals” Summer

Sale is a celebration of some of the Midlands’ finest ceramic artists, and an

opportunity to see their work, and meet those artists. The work ranges from

classic and functional, to fun eclectic decorative pieces, to fine jewelry and

tableware, and everything in between.

Admission is free and there is no retailer mark up.

This event will be at the Southern Pottery Gallery at 3105 Devine Street in

Columbia, South Carolina from June 3rd through June 5th.

The Grand Opening Reception & Sale will take place on Friday evening, June 3

from 4pm-9pm.

The sale hours on Saturday are 11am-7pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm.

On Saturday, in addition to the sale, we will have artists demonstrating how some

of their artwork is made. There will also be contests and activities for guests to

participate in and try working with clay themselves!

While attending the show, you will have a chance to take part in our grab bag

deals, and an opportunity to get a mystery piece of unique artwork from one of

the local artists.

The Midlands Clay Art Society was founded in 1987 with the intent of fostering

fellowship, education, and creativity among local potters and clay artists while

promoting appreciation of all things made from clay.
