Lantern Tour - Battle of Congaree Creek

Candlelight tour with volunteers in period attire that includes stops along the trail to learn about how and why the battle was fought as Gen. Sherman’s Union Army approached Columbia in February 1865. Throughout this guided walking tour, you’ll hear stories of soldiers who fought as well as civilian accounts of what happened during the burning of Columbia. A Civil War cannon will be demonstrated and fired during the tour.

Walk is about 2 miles. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes.
