Jazz at 701: A Sign of the Times

Led by Compose/Director, Tyrone Jefferson, A Sign of the Times’ ensembles perform music including Latin, Jazz, and Classic Rhythm and Blues. The band’s core musicians are committed to the mastery and preservation of jazz , the only musical genre born in America!

A Sign of the Times Quartet is Tyrone Jefferson, Trombone; Rico Tyler, keyboard, Thomas Green, Drums, Toni Tupponce, Vocals. Their repertoire swings and transports listeners to the days of Dizzy, Bird, Miles and Sassy as well Earth, Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Etta James and James Brown.  Each musical story is told with authenticity and reverence to the great ones that came before.
