Insecure Images: Pinhole Photography and the Camera Obscura

In this workshop, we’ll consider how the presence of the camera challenges and/or enhances our active presence within the experiences we document. Together, we’ll construct pinhole cameras from everyday containers, install a collaborative on-site camera obscura, and explore various approaches to viewing and documenting unfixed light. Blurring the “decisive moment”, we’ll also experiment with non-conventional approaches to exposure duration and in/direct intervention of the image-making process.

Materials Included. Meets once a week for four weeks. Participants ages 16 years and older are welcome to sign up!
