Home Movie Day

Drop in between 10:00am and 1:00pm to watch home movies from the University of South Carolina’s Moving Image Research Collections (MIRC), including a projection of 16mm film from the Willie Lee Buffington Collection. Buffington filmed the students and campuses of SC, NC and GA African-American schools in the early 1950s—on the eve of the landmark Brown vs. Board of Education desegregation decision.

Volunteers will be available to teach you how to preserve your own home movies. Indie Grits Labs will also be here, sharing their fall adult workshop lineup.
