Learn about the varied cultures and traditions of peoples who lived in the area beginning about 12,000 years ago and how their lifeways – characterized by hunting and gathering and farming, but punctuated with spirituality and diversity – has survived the dramatic changes brought about by contact with Europeans. Learn how their culture and traditions are alive and well in South Carolina today.
Tour is 2 miles and takes 60 to 90 minutes. All tour guides are trained by the National Park Service.
