Girls Block 2019

An all inclusive Block Party showcasing women on 1600 Main to expose and elevate underrepresented voices in South Carolina. We wish to inspire, honor, and support all the women of this state and hope that you will join us for this long overdue event.

MARCH 9TH

Day/Street Portion:

Starting at 9am, alongside our partners of Soda City Market, we will be showcasing a collective of women and femme vendors for their artwork, business, and entrepreneurship. Girls Rock will be providing fun activities for the young ones and our featured panel by Wren (Women’s Rights Empowerment Network) will have you enthralled on all the important topics. Snap a pic at our colorful photo block booths and make sure to bring that cute pup! Everyone, including the canine kind are all welcome.

Nightlife:

After your day of talking, learning, and shopping, step into our venues for a night of women and femme fronted musical performances! Lula Drake Wine Parlor will host 5 bands in the Pastor’s Study upstairs. Don’t forget to snag a drink with a feminine twist! The Space Hall of Columbia, located in Tapp’s Arts Center, will host 5 bands with women’s empowered live visual graphics. And if you’re looking for a nice meal, a beautiful rooftop setting, and some sweet sweet tunes, head on up to Hendrix, the newest business and partner to the block.
