Culturally Responsive Engagement Workshop

Special guest facilitator, Mr. Donte Felder, Education Director at Seattle’s Intiman Theatre will lead two-three-hour sessions focusing on the tenets of social emotional learning and culturally responsive engagement practices that can be applied in a variety of learning environments.  The participatory sessions, totaling 6 hours, are designed to help leaders of arts organizations, program managers, educators and teaching artists build knowledge and increase awareness for successfully engaging younger and culturally diverse audiences, including individuals with different abilities. The workshop will take place over two days, Wednesday June 7th and Thursday June 8th; 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Gallery located on the second floor of the Koger Center for the Arts, 1051 Greene Street, Columbia, SC.
