She Sings will present “Continuing the Journey: Songs of Faith, Love, and Hope” on Tuesday, March 19th at 7:30 PM at Washington Street United Methodist Church. Created to meet the specific interests of women who make singing a part of their life’s journey, She Sings is the first community group of its kind. The all-volunteer choir began rehearsing in the fall of 2018 under the direction of four well-known choral directors, Fredna Lee, Angela Powers, Lillian Quackenbush, and Paula Wilson, with Lucinda Shields, accompanist. The concert will include a continuation of songs reflecting the journey of life through the emotions of faith, love, and hope. There is no cost for admission. She Sings will be collecting donations to benefit Toby’s Place; a ministry of the Oliver Gospel Mission that serves homeless women and children in the community.
