Concert Series: Splendors of the Baroque “Naissance Glorieuse”

Join Columbia Baroque as we celebrate Francois Couperin’s 350^th birthday with his gorgeous “Concerts Royaux No. 4,” plus Marais’ masterpiece for viol, “The Bells of St Genevieve” featuring Gail Ann Schroeder, and Monteclair’s love-story cantata, “Pan et Syrinx” with mezzo-soprano Brittnee Siemon.  Additional highlights include a “Hymn of the Angels” plus French suites and carols.

Performers for the evening are Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Mary Hostetler Hoyt, Baroque violin; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry, harpsichord.

“Concert Conversations” with Peter A. Hoyt will begin at 7 p.m. followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m.
