Collectively Supported Art — is a spin on “Community Supported Agriculture” providing art lovers a share of fresh, handcrafted artwork. CSA is a distinctive opportunity to connect with innovative visual art and the talented artists behind the one-of-a-kind original artwork. Each shareholder will take home a 8” x 12” piece of the artist’s creation. The evening will include light fare, beverages, and time with the artist as they create.
But wait, there’s more! Want to purchase more than one share? Yes please! You may purchase up to four shares per person. The first 25 shares sold will get to pick their pieces the night of the event in the order the shares were purchased. The remaining shareholders will be able to choose their pieces, in the order they purchased their shares, through a random drawing, that evening. All picking will be done prior to the artist finishing the complete work of art.
As this is a ticketed event and space is limited, one share equals one person. Please no plus ones.
Robert O. Keith IV
is a native Coloradan, now happily residing in Columbia, SC. He received a BFA at Colorado State University and an MFA at the University of South Carolina. He and his wife Meagan travel around the east coast searching for abandoned spaces to fill both an artistic need as well as the thrill of exploring.
Art was an escape for Robert as a child. The poor conditions in which he was raised mirror so many of the abandoned structures shown in his work. His rough upbringing gave him an intensely unique perspective on life, allowing him to find the beauty and the positive light in what others might find ugly or impossible to endure.
In his current work, Robert explores the reclamation of abandoned architectural spaces by nature. He documents the journey of exploration via oil paintings. Robert also experiments with the bending of his canvases to literally surround the viewer within the spaces themselves.
