This is a two part series about block printing on fabric

Session 1: Tuesday, March 10th, 5:30-7 pm

Session 2: Tuesday, March 17th, 5:30-7 pm

By signing up for this class, you are registering for both sessions.
Come learn how to design your block, carve your block, and print your fabric in this two part series on block printing fabric.

Session 1: This first lesson will be about designing and carving your block.  Avery and Kelsey will guide you through the does and don’ts of block carving.  We will discuss negative and positive space, how to carve the block, and help you design your first block.  Each participant will have the opportunity to create one block.  All materials provided.  Please dress for a mess.

Session 2: This class will be about printing the fabric.  Each participant will be given a small amount of fabric, and plenty of paper to test your designs before committing to the fabric.  We will discuss the different types of spacing, coloration, and the physical process of block printing your fabric.  All materials provided.  Please dress for a mess.
