Beginning Throwing Mondays

Students will complete this beginner course with the knowledge necessary to continue throwing pottery.  At the end of this course students may elect to continue with Open Studio or advance to the next level of throwing – Next Step Throwing.

The following skills will be taught:

Knowledge of basic pottery terms; basic throwing safety; preparing clay for throwing; centering and opening clay while throwing; pull walls and create basic cylinder; proper techniques and skills for trimming and basics of glazing completed projects.

Registration is limited to 6 students so early registration is recommended.
