Beginning Glaze Application

This workshop will focus on application and the use of cone 5 glazes. Basic application methods that will be taught include; dipping, pouring, trailing, brushing, and spraying. Masking and resist techniques will be covered. How to minimize common problems will be addressed. Participants should bring 2 or 3 bisque pieces of stoneware or porcelain to test techniques. The pieces should not exceed 6 inches in any direction. Fee of $40 covers all instruction, supplies, materials and operating costs. Class size limited to minimum of 3 and maximum of 5.
