Audition for The Sound of Music at Town Thearte

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta von Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as a governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain Von Trapp, bringing music and job to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. The show will run September 8-24, 2023 with direction by Jane Cato, musical direction by Michael Simmons, and choreography by Katie Hilliger Page.

Auditions will be as follows:
~Sunday, June 4 at 7:30 PM
~Monday, June 5 at 7:30 PM

Actors need to attend only ONE audition night.

All auditioning should prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided or you may bring a track providing that you bring your own cord to connect with a Bluetooth speaker (speaker provided). Everyone auditioning will participate in movement and should dress comfortably. Please bring a small photo that we may keep (it does not need to be a professional headshot).
