8th Annual Still Hopes Juried Art Exhibit

Still Hopes Retirement Community, in West Columbia, is the host venue for the Trenholm Artists Guild Summer juried show and sale. The exhibit will be on display from August 6 through September 28 in the Marshall A. Shearouse Wellness Center Gallery. The opening reception and award ceremony is Thursday, August 9, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The reception will also feature jewelry and pottery by TAG members. Still Hopes is located off Knox Abbott Drive at One Still Hopes Drive, West Columbia.

Hallie Bertling of Greenville, SC, will judge the show. Awards will be presented at the opening reception on Thursday, August 9, at 7:15 PM. The public is invited; those in attendance will also vote for a People’s Choice Award. The show will include approximately sixty two-dimensional art pieces created by many renowned midlands-area artists. Joong Bae Kim won the 2017 Best of Still Hopes Show award. Other recent top award winners of TAG’s juried shows are Dale Bishop, Pete Holland, Mark Conrardy, and J. Michael McGuirt.
