Dale Bishop - One Columbia

Artist Statement

Dale has produced a large body of eclectic art over S.C. with variety in creativity, such as design work, portraits, storytelling paintings, brochures, fabric design, stained glass patterns, record covers, and wildlife. Her professional art career contains designing for textile industries, cross stitch publications, and teaching in two S.C. High School art programs. Her mediums are primarily oil and acrylic, with her work exhibiting high realism and color, usually in a very large format canvas. Motivation for her work comes from challenges of world events, people in diverse service or events, and the beautiful reality of South Carolina lakes and forests. She is challenged by the two art guilds in Columbia and Chapin that she attends and competes in their yearly shows.
