Patrick Michael Kelly is a theatre artist - an actor, administrator, director, educator, fight choreographer, playwright, producer, and sound designer - but he prefers the term artist citizen. Patrick trained with Trustus Theatre, the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, the University of South Carolina (BA - Theatre), The Neo-Futurists, The New Coordinates, The Second City, Victory Gardens, and NYU Grad Acting (MFA - Acting). He worked with organizations including 2nd Story, About Face Theatre, Arundel Barn Playhouse, Columbia Children’s Theatre, La MaMa E.T.C., Lookingglass, Town Theatre, Virginia Stage, Vox Theatre, Waterwell, WNEP, and Workshop Theatre of SC. Currently, he teaches Acting at the University of South Carolina and works to elevate and proliferate the enjoyment and study of the arts in South Carolina. Patrick is a Certified Miller Voice Method (mVm) Teacher, a member of Actors’ Equity and the Trustus Company Emeritus, and Helena’s dad.
