Artist Statement
Julia Andrade is a self-taught mixed-media artist working primarily in acrylic, oil pastel, and mixed media. Her work moves between botanical subjects, landscapes, figurative work, and narrative pieces, often exploring the relationship between nature, memory, place, and everyday life. She is drawn to expressive color, texture, and the small details that give a subject its character.
Julia began pursuing her art professionally through commissioned work in 2022 and continues to develop her practice through independent study and experimentation across mediums. Her work reflects a lifelong interest in making and creating, with an emphasis on artwork that feels personal, visually engaging, and connected to the experiences and places that inspire it.
